Re: Tiger build

Awesome Fenders. I managed to get mine "close" to your quality. I cheated and got a resistance soldering gun. I highly recommend it.

Re: Tiger build

Beautiful fenders mark. You certainly set a high standard. I tried to replicate your welds. I got maybe two that were acceptable. I am going to take a fresh stab at it today. I did have some issues with mixing, a few welds just never gelled. Any hints for working with the loctite? None of mine were ...

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Yes it does Vince. I rushed and glued mine in a year or so ago. Now I decided to take them out and drill and tap for the m bolts to stabilize the torsion bar ends. I have been procrastinating on the drive train.

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Could you explain this a bit? I glued the brass bushings into the hull and torsion bar. How do you go about using the surface plate? I have an optically flat granite square I ordered for sharpening woodworking tools. Do you place it on the outside of the hull or inside? "This is also my first Armort...

Re: Tiger build

Those are perfect welds. I'm going to have to rip my milliput out and use the loctite. What tool did you use?

Fantastic! You are pushing me towards buying a $4000 CNC mill that I will puzzle over while it becomes obsolete.

I do have some questions to post regarding equipment purchases. I am at a bit of an impasse right now regarding manual or CNC

Re: Work on my skills or look at rapid prototyping

There are a lot of difficult decisions to make. I am trying to decide between CNC and manual lathe an milling machines. I ...
