Re: Czech Hedgehog - natural rusting

I used hydrogen peroxide to rust the tracks on my Mark IV. It works well on is own or with materials suggested in the video, it provides an immediate source of Oxygen for the rusting process so speeding it up. Available from all good chemists!

If you have ever been to an evangelical church service and someone has spoken in 'tongues' then someone else provides a translation, all a bit disconcerting! So if Google Translate doesn't do the job Mark Lawson's translation is appreciated, as I for one am happy to learn the technical vocabulary as...

Getting back to the book, I am now on the third chapter and looks as though the recommendation is spot on!

Re: The Second World War Tank Crisis

Well, as I have effectively 'The Armortek Cromwell', curtesy of Mr Skeldon, who reverse engineered a Comet. I need to say that it is a great model. It runs nicely, like the Comet, and offers a wide potential for being modified to suit the builders preference for a variant. Also, it is not too big or...

Re: Lockdown reading

Thank you for this, both books are very appealing and I will be ordering them.
However, I am being positive, I will be taking them to read at some show in the summer, not while sitting at home in the back garden instead!

In the cycle trade you need to be polymetric, imperial measurements are embedded and are not going away soon. Just look at tyre sizes and wheel sizes to keep you amused! The best thing is to give both imperial and metric measurements I feel. After all 1/6 scale is an imperial fraction, 304.8 mm to 1...

Re: Pads on side of UC

Remember that there is an alternative to welding, brazing, or silver soldering. The much simpler and lower temperature process of soldering, one of the Armortek building Gurus told me it is perfectly possible to lead solder steel. You will need to make sure that you have a suitable flux that is goin...
