Something to look forward to, good news indeed. It will be pencilled in to my Calendar, let us hope it will be able to be inked in sometime soon after Easter!
Nice to have a good positive. Steve

Re: Pads on side of UC
Remember that there is an alternative to welding, brazing, or silver soldering. The much simpler and lower temperature process of soldering, one of the Armortek building Gurus told me it is perfectly possible to lead solder steel. You will need to make sure that you have a suitable flux that is goin...

Re: Universal Carrier Nr 34
The newspapers have not picked up these Monoliths that seem to be appearing all over the planet, is it that they are not shiny, mirrored? I know that they will have transformative consequences on those who have received them! I am going to start on mine in the New Year, so I will be pleased to follo...

Welcome to the Armortek Confabricators, to coin a word. The great thing is the support that you as an individual will find over time from within the Forum, and once Covid is tamed, by meeting other builders in person at events far and wide. Each new model finds issues and questions which when shared...

Universal Carrier No 17
Universal Carrier Delivery IMG_0216.jpg One of many deliveries arrived today at work, my colleagues now instantly recognise the Armortek style, distinctive packaging tape and then the label. They were concerned that the box was not heavy enough to contain a Tank, so an explanation of what it was re...

Does this make a timely suggestion to a spouse as a Christmas present? If so thank you, Fiona will appreciate it!

Buy a Comet and get an Armortek Pixie Suit! Or perhaps a Brown Leather Gillet?

Rereading the post, I have a pattern for the dust cover. However I will need to look it out for you. It will either be the original or I may find it as file attachment in an email. Steve

Re: Turret Rotation Speed?
Thanks Mark, the fact that the new motor (Motion Co 90 Degree Drive to tuck the motor out of the way) I have now fitted is geared to about half the Armortek motor speed to that would be no bad thing.

This is a question that I also have a current interest in. Perhaps the Tank Museum knows the answer, if so, who to ask?

Re: Mice in a Tiger
I have had a Comet that had a Mouse attack. It was a mess of wire filaments, shredded plastic insulation and shredded paper that had been brought into the Hull. If I had switched the power on it would have caught fire as it was a very flammable mixture. It was a very lucky escape, so I check the int...
