Hi Jerry
I like the rivet squeezer too and info as to where it came from and can you change the anvils

Re: Rivets

Hi Bob Just checked my rivet snaps for the larger rivets and the ones I have are 3/32" and 1/16th for the small size I got mine from Polly Model engineering in the UK and they were about £7.50 each. I must admit it took a bit of head scratching to fine the right one for the large size as I mentioned...

Re: How many shims on a UC front bogie axle.

Hi Guys
I am wondering if its to do with flexing the track for the steering that you need some play in that part.

Re: Armorpax's Armortek UC - No.18

Hi Dave
Simply stunning parts I love the vision port shutters and stearing gear.
As I mentioned I want the full set including seats, radio, batteries, Rifles and ammo bags as well as
all the mental parts.

I am not however interested in the deep wading pads though.

Hope this helps

Re: Rivets

Hi Bob The tool you have is for pop rivets (as used in aircraft manufacturing) not for the copper rivets you have in the kit. You need rivet snaps and a hammer if you wish to rivet rather than glue the copper rivets in the Carrier model. Rivet snaps are available from EKP , Polly Model engineering s...

Re: Rivets

Hi Bob
I am looking at my instructions for the universal Carrier and there are NO 5mm rivets.
So I do not understand your postings about 5mm rivets.

The list states 1.6mm rivets 10 off and 2.5mm rivets 210 off .

What tool have you received ? Can you post a picture?

Re: Rivets

Hi Bob
1.6mm is 1/16 of an inch and the other rivets are 2.5mm which is near enough 3/32 of an inch to the best of my memory
rivet snaps for those sizes should be near enough.
Rivets are measured by the shaft size not the head size I hope this helps.

Re: Something with 406mm main armament

Hi David
You are going to need a big bath for that one
I have a 1:128th scale Rodney and that takes 2 of us to lift it and its
only about 6 feet long.

Seriously though a stunning build :D

Re: Armorpax's Armortek UC - No.18

Hi Dave
Looking very good a fast build for sure.
I was wondering if you had any plans to do decals for the dash board dials ?
Its a shame non were supplied in the kit like there were in the Famo kit
as its an open top machine.
