Re: Armorteks next model

A Wart would be a good idea, we would then have a REME vehicle for the pack change dioramas lol. 8)

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Update, never got started on the turret as I decided to detail the other side of the fire wall and turn some leg supports and start on the hull floor. I'm still not sure what height the floor should be but I can simply adjust the legs when we have the turret basket. Has anyone got good reference pho...

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Thanks Bob, it is a lot of work to condense into just a few months rather than a few years though! 8) Some finishing touches to the noisy oily end then onto the turret, oh I'm just wiring the coolant fans to run proportionately with the engine revolutions first thing this morning. The inner hull det...

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Well as I still have not finished I now need to add the air filter catches and the decals, I have started the weathe...

Re: L60 Fake News

Now don't get me wrong the L60 made a beautiful noise and lots of signature smoke but it was a hunk of junk, just read the report in the Haynes manual. It was the Achilles heal of a great fighting system. I'm not going to real off what the report and others have already said, maybe read the RARDE re...

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

A quick update, all ready now for the fuel system and carburetors, I've been up most of the night sneezing due to the cyno based adhesive, it's plays havoc with my nasal passages especially after a full day in the workshop exposed to the dam stuff.

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Ivano your Maybach is great there's so much hidden detail. It's just the fan drive attachment to the engine that I am not sure of. Slow progress as it's so fiddly. So not much to show really, prepping small parts and trying to work out what goes where and which way round but its coming along nicely....

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Thanks guys, Steen the batteries are not large ah but fit nicely in that area as you can see, the run time will be interesting when I get chance ( and some good weather) to see just how long they last, with the new high efficiency motors and the newer esc's this should be more than enough for this b...
