Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

Very nice work with the hatches! Don't hesitate to bend and adjust the hinges if necessary. Brass can handle that. Now go and get yourself a pair of Mike Stannard's periscopes with the glass lenses. Expensive, but after all the work you have put into perfecting your model, it deserves that. :D

Picture #4 (of the engine deck) is very convincing! Not sure if I would have caught it, had you put it in the real or fake section...

Re: Would Stiffer Center Springs Make Tanks Rock?

I have long been thinking to ask the same question. It should be very doable with the adjustable suspension. Let's get to trying it out then! :D At a fair, an industry automation fellow told me that all I had to do to get the right rocking, was to install pneumatic cylinders on the leading and trail...

Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

If nobody has a better solution, you could put a button magnet on the cam and have it move the arm. That way, the angular position of the cam would trigger the switch, rather than the slowly changing amplitude of the cam at the end of the turn, which I suspect does not provide enough accuracy.

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Those hatches were standard on my 2010 mid tiger, so they will likely fit the hole still. Not sure about the hinges, though. You may want to use the Armortek hinges, since the Armorpax ones are cast in white metal and will break. I made new ones out of brass and screwed and tapped the hatches.
