Where Can Steve Winstone Parts Be Ordered?

Where can somebody order Steve Winstone tank accessories from? Is there a website? I've been curious about that for years but I'm asking for a Good Friend. THANKS!

Re: Armorteks next model

Because of the heavy weight of this JT, will it have the 18 tooth sprockets and single link tracks? The 18 tooth sprockets would have more positive engagement with the track links while loading/unloading from a transport vehicle.

Re: AAF Museum Meet in Danville, Virginia 2019

Thanks Bob! We didn't want to use my '05 F150 because it couldn't hold that many tanks AND the bed isn't waterproof if it rains. We rented an 9 foot U-Haul cargo van (which ALSO gets BETTER gas mileage than the truck!) My wife and I loaded up 1400 pounds of Armorteks and put 4"x4"s and foam between'...

Re: AAF Museum Meet in Danville, Virginia 2019

Hi Kian! I only drove a couple of times and relied on Johnny, Larry and his wife Brenda (who has her own 1/16 tank), to drive'em the most so there were usually two to three Armorteks driving at any one time. The museum has a GLASS SMOOTH, sealed concrete floor so after five hours of driving the batt...

Re: Armorteks next model

As you know I want an M113 APC and I also think a Sherman with DOZER BLADE, like the one I saw at the Danville AAF Armor Museum this weekend, sure would make a VERY interesting Armortek kit also! Why, with it you could dig a pit in your wife's flower bed, fix up your tank run area, ANND push the SNO...

AAF Museum Meet in Danville, Virginia 2019

I attend the American Armor Foundation (AAF) 'Flamethrower Day' at Danville, Virginia this past Saturday and we put on an exhibit of our Armortek AFVs. This was my first time visiting the museum and it's a LOT bigger than I thought! They have a VERY LARGE number of armored vehicles, artillery guns o...

Re: Armorteks next model

I was just now watching a segment on FOX News about what's happening with Brexit and I can not understand it, how it works. And DON'T try to explain because this isn't a forum for it AND I probably STILL wouldn't understand. I just hope everything works out good for everybody! But on new releases, I...

Re: Comparing Heights of the M3 & M4A3

I TOTALLY ENJOY reading the histories, technical specs, combat usage, advantages/deficiencies of comparing early/modern fighting vehicles described on here each time they're posted and I always look forward to the next ones! I honestly focus on the comparisons of each armored vehicle shared on here ...

Comparing Heights of the M3 & M4A3

Just out of curiosity I wanted to compare the heights of the M3 Lee and the M4A3 Sherman and snapped these pics. You could sure pick apples higher up on the tree with the M3!

Re: Mick's Grant

Good Morning Michael! I also had to figure out a way to hold the barrel in the tube. I couldn't find any metric bolt that would fit the barrel threads so after I installed the tube in (with that big brass nut) I used a long smaller bolt that WOULD go up in the barrel. Then I put a BIG GOB of clear R...

FINALLY Painted My Panzer IV After 3 Years

Almost three years ago I purchased an unbuilt Panzer IV (a 'G' model) from a seller and built it. I couldn't decide on WHAT colors to paint it so since then I've just been driving it around in the basic 'factory' yellow. It's just had that base color on it since then. We're going to have the FIRST U...

Re: Hats, T shirts, jackets, decals, banners

Yeah! The only Armortek 'bumper stickers' I have on my garage fridge is two that I got off shipping boxes! I had to heat'em up with a hair dryer and carefully peel'em off! But unfortunately they ended up somewhat wrinkled and sometimes try to come off so I have to put magnets on. I would DEFINATELY ...

Re: Mike's M3 Lee #12 Little Build Things

Thanks So Much for the kind words, you don't know how much I was worried about painting it. I enjoy building'em but the painting, marking, weathering, wear, is what I absolutely dread because I'm an IDIOT when it comes to paint details. On the colors, I used Testers 1265 Flat Olive Drab for the over...

Re: Mike's M3 Lee #12 Little Build Things

Here's a few more I took this morning. This early sun helps show more of the weathering and 'wear' I tried to do and if I had a better camera you could see more.
