Re: Help please

Hi Paul
Not sourced batteries yet and my previous 2 were exported so no batteries in them.
I normally use 22AH gel batteries in my builds but there is a lot of space in the Elefant so you could go larger if you want.
I will let you know when I sort them

Re: Tank jacks

Hi Roy
Most tanks (German at least) carried a jacking block, this was basically a large wooden block as the name suggests, used to spread the load of the jack. It’s worth noting that the jack would not normally be used to lift the whole tank, just a corner.
Hope this is helpful

Re: Steve does another Elefant

Some more Elefant progress. The basic hull goes together very nicely, just a bit of tweaking required on the rear fillet pieces. Re: Help please

Hi Paul It may be worth looking at the history of both tanks and decide from that. I had the same decision to make as yourself before deciding on the Elefant. The reason I chose the Elefant over the Jagdtiger was that the Elefant has a far better combat history and was operational for a much longer ...

Re: sdkfz 7 build log.

Wow that looks great, just love these parts when sprayed in red primer. When you say the electrical connector work I presume you mean the cover opens and closes and not that it supplies power. This is a great build thread, I always look forward to you next post and seeing what you have achieved. Kee...

Re: 222 rebuild

Hi Phil
Glad you like it, yes they are the doors you cut so saved me some work there.
I think the 222 should be in everyone’s collection, nice size and plenty of detail.
You never know it may be re-released in the future.

Re: 222 rebuild

I have applied a initial coat of paint to give me a feel for how it’s going to look when completed, lots of weathering required I think. Fantastic work,
The Pz 2 is a really nice size and would make a great new kit for Armortek to produce.
