Re: New electronics in August

They look very nice and a worthwhile upgrade to the electronics. It looks like a far more logical set up with everything well labelled and laid out. I know in the past that the connecting up of the various modules and associated rc cables has been a bit of a black art especially for the first time b...

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Hi Phil It’s all looking very good, a bit of inspiration for when I get round to doing mine. I was not planning on doing a turret basket on mine but now I see how you have created enough space using 9amp batteries I may reconsider. Ivano, Thank you for posting the engine bay drawings, these will be ...

Re: Steve’s Kingtiger

Hi Vince
I believe the tow and track cables are after market parts and not the original Armortek ones, I bought this Kingtiger as a unfinished second hand tank and so cannot tell you where the cables came from.

Re: Steve’s Kingtiger

The kingtiger is making good progress, the lower hull is now complete with the exception of the wheel hubs which are waiting for some bolt detail to be added. All electronics have been installed and I will give it a test run before bringing it to Tank fest. 1E88F49B-C3C2-4584-80BE-9F9E7E614DDE.jpeg ...

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Hi Adrian
Interesting, I have one of your modules that I put away for the Tiger 1 build. So are you saying I can link 4 x 24v fans in series with smoke fan and they will run proportionally when the engine sounds are played.

I am interested to see how you get them to run proportional to the engine revs.

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Are you planning on using resin fan housings from East coast armoury?
I was thinking of using 4 x 24v cooling fans as the fan drive gear box cannot be seen below the fan covers (they sit under a sheet metal shroud).

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Hi Phil Looking forward to this build, I have a late Tiger 1 waiting for a rebuild and have been slowly gathering parts over the last year or so. Like you I intend to fit a engine bay and fans plus lots of other aftermarket parts. I have one of Ivano,s Maybach HL230,s and a load of Steve Winstone pa...
