Sd.Kfz.222 perfect scale wheels and tyres

A few weeks back a very large package from Liam Mahoney, arrived at my house much larger than I was expecting, what was inside came as a complete shock as I wasn’t expecting these. Inside the box was x5 Sd.Kfz222 fully detailed perfect scale wheels and tyres. https://i.postimg.cc/YSQmPhdd/20200702-2...

Re: German marking colours

HI John, Lets start with the Antenna these could be painted in a variety of colours most would be in the base colour of the vehicle but this is not written in stone your main colours would be RAL7021 and RAL7028 remembering that there were x4 official shades of RAL7028 then you have the colours used...

Re: Turret Rotation Speed?

I doubt that the Tank Museum knows the current rotation speed of an Armortek Tiger fitted with lazysuzan dearing, this may be best directed at Armortek themselves though they may never have timed the rotation speed. The real Tiger as we all know had power traverse which was dictated by engine RPM ac...

Re: Leichter Panzerspähwagen Sd.Kfz.222 rebuild

For some time I have wanted to allocate the Sd.Kfz.222 to a Heer division used in Normandy, I was looking at Panzer Lehr 130 who had a number of Sd.Kfz.222 in early 1944 and later in 1944 during “Wacht am Rhein” I know Panzer Lehr and other divisions were allocated Sd.Kfz.234/2 the question is did P...

Guido, don't forget it is essential that you grind flats on the torsion bars, even with bolts the torsion bars will rotate.
Sie müssen eine Fläche auf dem Drehstab schleifen, sonst dreht sich der Drehstab sogar mit Schrauben.

Re: Leichter Panzerspähwagen Sd.Kfz.222 rebuild

I have painted the panzeraufbau inside in elfenbein ready for the drivers visors and hinges to be added, first these were painted in dunkelgelb along with the outside of the panzeraufbau, I now have the ability to open the visors individually or all together this adds more detail to the model and gi...

Re: Leichter Panzerspähwagen Sd.Kfz.222 rebuild

I have also made the MG ammo box used on the 222 as they didn’t use the normal gurtsack as used on Panzer, the 222 variant is allowed to swivel as the gun is elevated.

Work of the 222 has continued and now the gun mount is complete, I have also added a 10 round magazine to the gun as opposed to the larger 20 round mags seen on the flak38 https://i.postimg.cc/k5SgFcrw/20200420-134945.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/k49qNPvX/20200422-224307.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/154PrHw...

2001 Tiger suspension help required.

My good Kameraden Guido Felsh from Köln would like some assistance with his 2001 Early Tiger, he would like some help identifying which parts are located in the correct position. (Guido) The manual is old and not accurate, or doesn’t contain enough pictures to identify all parts and building steps. ...
