Re: Marder tracks

Sadly heard that Martin Schneider, owner of Das Giesswerk passed away in October 2019. Really sad, his tracks were top notch. Not sure if his parts are still available - although website is still up. The parts he made for me were cast to order, ie no inventory on hand.

Looks great Simon, beautiful lights. With all the quarantine there's never been a better time to enjoy Armortek models. I've been hoarding them for years!
Great progress,

This will be a great project. Following along as well.

Rhino/Nashorn is favorite of mine too!

Gunter Gabelein used to make really nice idler wheel casting for PZ4. Not sure if you need that part or if he still makes those?

Awesome Bridge! You can leave it outside for some natural weathering! I like the paint color! Now you just need a tank to drive over it!

Re: Visual makeover for 'Gunther'

Hi Marco, I'm enjoying your makeover. One thing on German tanks is the base coat was red oxide primer. So try the chipping effect with a small dot of red oxide then add smaller dot of steel colors. If the paint chipped it would expose a little red oxide under the dunkelgelb. All in all your jack tur...

Re: Scale cupola

Mark I had one many moons ago. It was a beautiful work of art, as was all of Vince's parts. But long since sold. I think even back then, they sold for $500 or so. I was hoping I still had a photo of it, but cant find that even. Good luck in your quest.

Re: Visual makeover for 'Gunther'

Nice makeover Marco. I like your redone turret much better. The washes and cast texture are really nice. Someone put some time into those weld lines- they are excellent. I agree those dots are just too perfect and distracting!

Re: For They Shall Not Grow Old....

All Wingnut Wings models are 1/32 scale. There is a magnificent collection of WW1 plane models for fans of those type of airplanes. They are highly detailed and include awesome instructions and decals. Even at 1/32 the planes are quite small. The Lancaster is their first venture into WW2 planes. Its...

Re: Re-release of the King Tiger - End 2019

Mike You can search around but this may work for the ball transfers like Peter used. I have not tried these, but seems like a good option on older models where retrofit of the ball bearing ring would be difficult. The ball is 5/8" and flange about 1" - about the right size if the height would work. ...

Really cool additions Mark, following with interest. Those actuators make for simplified mechanism for sure. Will be interested to see your blank fire, recoil ideas.
