Re: Tiger build

hi Mark
Your cables look awesome! How do you get the cable bent around the tear drop sheave so tightly? And then stuffed into the round ferule? Are your ferules crimped so they can withstand the pull loading? Fantastic work on all the details. Really a superb build.
Best regards,
Bob

Re: At Flying Legends

Tanks and planes, what could be better? That is a huge Panther. 1/4 scale I'm guessing.

Re: Tiger build

Beautiful work on your Tiger! I think the rust on the rear exhaust housing looks perfect!

Any reason not to use a lazy susan bearing for the turret though? I find they rotate much better than the brass rings. Personal preference I suppose.

Super work - thanks for sharing!

Re: TankFest 2019

thanks for all the great pictures for those of us who cannot attend. What a superb collection of Armortek models - hard to name a favorite, but the Panther F is really cool. Great looking models - the company has come a long way since 1995!

Awesome event - thanks again for photos!

Hi Phil I will be following your build with interest. I'm late to the game (your thread) because you work so fast. Are you planning on lowering the rear deck plate and rear deck?

Re: Tiger build

Thanks for the reply Mark. I figured you'd have to make some kind of rails for the router to move on. Take light cuts etc. Your results look good. Your mudflap frames look great. You must have access to CNC? Also the rear deck support bracket behind the turret (with holes) - is that home made? Mine ...

Re: Real or fake

Nice KT photo Phil. That tree is just the right scale. If that is a model, the scale and background are superbly placed to give the 1:1 look.

Re: Tiger build

Hi Mark, Can you add a few details how you "milled" the rear deck with Router? I am currently stalled with same problem. Removing the rear hull plate to lower it - involves complete disassembly of the hull with welds, RTV sealant etc. I'd like to mill it in situ but didn't think of using the router....

Re: Militracks 2019

Thanks for fantastic pictures. Nashorn! Does it run? It does look like an awesome show. I love all the videos people post from there. Glad to see tanks get added to the mix. The Panther A is from Saumur with a new paint job? It looks better than before - but it could be a different machine as well. ...

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Glen
I think your zimmerit looked great. It was a bit untidy being applied by hand on real tanks, as you mention. Its supposed to be rough looking.
Normandy camo is looking good on the wheels.
