THREE NEW KITS ANNOUNCED
We are very pleased to announce our next LIMITED EDITION Armortek kits which will be manufactured and shipped over the next 9 months:
- First up will be the Sherman M4A3 HVSS (the “Easy Eight”) made all the more popular by the movie “Fury”, which will be shipping in Spring 2021.
- This will be followed by most popular tank we have made, and perhaps the most well known from WWII, the late Tiger I. Shipping of the Tiger I will be around early to mid summer 2021.
- And finally, we will make a kit we have never made before – the Hetzer (Jagdpanzer 38), the most prolific late WWII tank destroyer used by the Germans. The Hetzer will be shipping around mid to end summer 2021.
SHERMAN M4A3 (76) HVSS
SHIPPING SPRING 2021
Building on a successful, proven design, the Sherman M4A3 (76) HVSS featured improved mobility and performance with the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS). The suspension was a marked improvement over the previous vertical volute spring set up, which, combined with its prototype designation of E8, earned it the nickname of “Easy Eight”.

Armortek’s “Easy Eight” is based on measurements of the tank at the Tank Museum in Bovington and research from their archives.
Approximate specifications are:
Length (including barrel) – 1200mm (47″)
Height – 470mm (18.5″).
Width – 490mm (19″)
Weight – a bit of a guess, but will be approx 45kg (100lbs) excluding motors and electronics
Construction as usual will be metal – predominately aluminium, with some steel and brass

The kit cost will be £3,495 excluding VAT and shipping.

TIGER I

Produced from 1942 to 1944 the Tiger 1 is perhaps the most iconic German tank of World War II

The Armortek late variant Tiger 1 kit is the version from circa 1944.

HETZER
SHIPPING MID TO END SUMMER 2021
Like the Easy Eight, the Hetzer also made its debut around mid 1944. Based on the chassis of the Czech Panzer 38(t) it proved formidable in service with its low profile and 75mm Pak 39 gun .
