It will be interesting to see how your recoil system develops. I can see you are using a linear bearing and toothed (timing) gears. Looks to be interesting. For my Tiger 1 I will be using most of the Armortek hardware but controlled by an Arduino and a stepper motor.

Martin, great to see your engineering skills. There is some film footage of the Weald Foundation Jagdpanther in action in my TankFest video on the TankFest 2019 thread. (See at 5.15 mins into the video).

With a linear bearing, you may well have to balance the gun barrel longitudinally. I found with my Cent linear bearing that any slight axial misalignment causes the barrel to jam in the bearing. I shimmed it to make sure there was no free play in the bearing and with the gun in balance, it now recoils very smoothly and freely. I'll be interested to see your experience.

Hi Vince,
hi Stephen,
her you can see the next progress of the recoil system with the new motors for barrel movement.
Maybe i forgot to tell you: there are 2 linear ball bearings in the parts with an inner diameter of 20mm and a distance to each of approx. 120mm. So i am sure there is no problem of jamming, because the rod has a tolerance of 20 -0.025 mm.

I realize now that in order to fully appreciate this, I would need to know what it looked like before your modifications. :?
Either way, just watching your mechanics is pure joy! :D

Hi Chris,
thanks for the flowers :D :D .
Here starts the chaos of the electric with all switches and the new 60W Benedini amplifier. It has a great sound after 2 hard weeks of working with all the cables, relais, power supply, aux module and switches ...............
