Adrian, or any other Sherman fan, Some of the casting numbers on Sherman bogies appear to be the date they were cast. Do you know if this is the case? Some of the IWM Sherman bogies are cast like the one below. The Bovington Firefly has 5-43 on the bogies.
Do you also know what reference numbers on the front transmission housing refer to?

John, Thanks for posting thsese nice images. I will be building my kit as a 75mm M4A4 (US markings) and I already see lots of details that I see myself making to my model.

They had to stretch it to get the amazing lets-make-a-radial-engine-out-of-car-parts power plant into it. The M4A4 has also got a bulge top and bottom of the engine bay because it still wouldn't fit the Sherman hull
