Re: The Phoenix - Tiger 131 #12

Blimey, is it January since I last posted in this thread ? I managed to get most of it the hull prepped and ready for paint, and made a start on priming the suspension bars etc, then decided to remove the red oxide primer and have the inside of the hull in just plain white. Then the weather turned n...

Re: At Flying Legends

Someone at the Sonning show on Sunday - sorry no pictures - asked if anyone made tanks you could sit it.

Only one I've seen is the one which was driving round at TankFest.

If it has been configured, it should be between the middle and top pins of "OUT 1+2",with the middle going to the anode (+ve) and the top going to the cathode (-ve).

Middle and bottom of "OUT 1+2" should be the trigger signal for the main gun recoil.

Re: RNAS Yeovilton Navy Air Day

Thanks for being the unofficial Independent Armour photographer, even if I'm still usually pictured up to my elbows in tank parts. The bridge layer is certainly an impressive piece of kit, even though it doesn't really fit in my current van! Even with the early start, and in my case a late finish, i...

Re: Adrian's Grant #2

Yes, it's an addition.

These brackets run along the join between the hull side and the pannier floor, in a similar way to the Tiger.

Re: Puma

I'd actually prefer the Sd.Kfz 232 - would look good in Afrika Korps colours alongside a Tiger 131.

Re: Batteries

Most tanks will take two 22Ah batteries.

Larger tanks such as the King Tiger and Centurion should be able to take two 30Ah.

Re: Limited Steering and noisy servo

Do the wheels turn by equal amounts when the front is lifted off the ground ?

Can you lock the "servo saver" so that the springs are compressed fully, and see if it steers as expected like that ?

Re: Limited Steering and noisy servo

The whining noise is probably because the servo is one of the newer "digital" ones, which whine like that when trying to get back to the correct position. If you try and turn a front wheel when the Quad is off the ground, you'll probably hear the whine start as the servo pushes back against you. Adr...

Re: 2019 KT

As this is a new product, I would wait and see what parts have been upgraded splashing out on 3rd party upgrades.

You can be the vendors will make sure they have new stock if people decide upgrades are worthwhile.

Re: 2009 KT to 2013 KT

I can't advise on the difference between the 2009 and 2013 King Tigers, but might it be worth waiting until the 2019 KT is released, then you know you have the latest and greatest ?
