Re: Armorteks next model

Quite a few great suggestions in this post ... perhaps something there for the future ?? Without giving anything away, we can say it will not be the Cat .. at 1.8m length the chassis components will not fit on our machines :( Only 10 days left now ... WAIT! so are you telling me that this CA...

Re: Sherman

Chris got the duckbills from me years ago. They were made from sheet metal and represent the slip on pattern and are held in place with the tooth connecting bolt which needs to be drilled by the user. I always wondered how they would hold up with use since I never designed or used them on an RC tank...

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Phil, the tooling marks were left on purpose as I seen some imperfections on the real unit's casting / forgings, and wanted to incorporate these in the sets. If you want to remove them a swipe of red glazing / spot putty will make short work of it. Also like Ivano said there is a guard that fits ove...

Thanks Phil, While on the bandwaggon for the fuel tanks I also developed the main fuel cells to round off the set.

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard

Hello Phil, first I want to say that you are doing a great job on the build and will look second to none when wrapped. Second on the gas tanks, yes they are a supposed to go in reverse directions. When I made my resin sets 10 years ago the resources I used led me to believe that they were a mirror i...

Sound system configuration services?

Hi everyone, Currently I'm finishing off a early tiger 131 build for a customer and I'm coming to the point where I need to have the sound system finalized. In the past I have always had mixed results with configuring the sound system plus with my time schedule being what it is I just don't have the...

Re: Armorteks next model

Stephen, That's interested that you use those diagrams to illustrate actual combat, as when the dust settles the actual combat record of the M60 are as follows, The 105mm Gun Tank M60 in action Due to an impressive service length span, the M60 and variants participated in some major conflicts and ma...

Re: Armorteks next model

Stephen, From all the of the M60 crews I have met they all preferred the tank to the other NATO contemporaries, some of which they saw personally and trained along side in reforger and the other exercises that took place during that period. One common reoccurring feature that they all mentioned when...

Re: Armorteks next model

M60 - hopeless tank I'm not too sure on that one, I'm pretty sure there are lots of ex spearhead guys in the US and in Israel that would beg to differ. Also the M26 was never sent to Vietnam. By the time the Vietnam war escalated the M26 family was already phased out by a decade or so. During the V...

Re: Armorteks next model

Talk about go big or go home! bravo! not my taste per sea, but still a nice addition to the line up none the less and I'm sure will be plenty popular with the cold war era tank crews in the UK. *Luckily it wasn't a Pershing, M60 or another Sherman variant" my bank account will be ok... for now

Re: Tiger 131 drive control question

Yes that looks to be the exact problem. I went ahead and sent the radio back in place for a different unit. The unit I had was a bit overkill for what was needed. Thanks again.

Re: Tiger 131 drive control question

on the RX it has FASST on the label. As for which setting is on the radio... I'm not sure I want to say that it is at the stock setting as I just opened the packaging.
