Re: Lithium Phosphate battery performance

Hi Chris, I bought a liFePO4 24v 20ah battery from Ping in China about 5 years ago, and fitted it in a tiger 1, the model only gets light use once or twice a year, but the battery keeps its charge, it has only been charged two or three times over this time, whereas the lead acid without use would be...

Hi Paul good to hear from you, you are not to far off, I have just finished an 1844 pattern shako to the Rifle Brigade, and just starting a 1/35th scale scratch-built CSS Alabama, its about 7 1/2 foot long

Re: My 222 revisited

Hi all this long running build is just about finished, I managed to buy some of the trial body panels, and some part formed bits and pieces way back at the 2007 open day, then bought wheels and tyres from Gill, everything else has been scratch built, it has been on hold many times while I built other...

Re: My 222 revisited

It has been a couple of months since I worked on the 222, (built a conservatory and remodelled the garden) so it is now coming together, the drivers seat is finished, the wiring for the lights installed, and the gun mount fitted, a few pictures of my progress http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL814/886...

Re: My 222 revisited

All metalwork for the gun and mount finished and painted with a base colour, the pedestal sits on its own slightly raised sub-floor and will bolt through the main floor last couple of pictures showing some more detail and the sub-base which is resting on a roll of duct tape for the pictures regards ...

Re: My 222 revisited

Hi Paul good to hear from you, thanks for the comments, I do enjoy fabricating parts, and the after market grenade screens are not long enough and are symmetrical.
The Midland engine I modelled spent most of its life shunting in the breweries of Derby, never made it that far north

Re: My 222 revisited

Hi all, back on the build again, Simone bought me a B17 bomber with a 2 metre wingspan for xmas, that's finished, so back to proper modelling. I had most of the gun and mount made and before I finished detailing it, it needed to be able to fit the turret, and also I needed to make the grenade screen...

Re: StuG III 014 - A Team Effort

Hi Darren, it has been a while since I built a Panzer 111, but that noise does not sound like a motor or gear box problem, it sounds more like the vibration caused by the track
rubbing against the body or mud guards, turn it on its side and see if there are any witness marks
