Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

Absolutely Vince!
This is a first class build that we have all been happy to follow. Thank you so much for spending the effort of explaining, documenting and presenting to us. It does make the build take about twice the time...
But you surely have a lot of followers now! :D

Re: Jagdtiger prototype

Per did have a build story here on the forum in the king tiger section. Unfortunately, the pictures are all gone, thanks to some derelict hosting service. If you spend hours and hours to make a build story, please don't make that mistake. Instead, UPLOAD the pictures to the forum for generatio...

Knowledge not shared is knowledge lost.
Indeed! The great violin builders in Cremona took their secrets with them in the grave. 200+ years later, we still have not figured it out.

Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

Vince, Yours is a reference build that inspires a lot of us. Documenting a build is a lot of work per se and doing the work with the attention to detail that you have, well, is still more work. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your effort to enrich the knowledge of all of us and...

Re: New Transmitters

These radios support telemetry, including the ability to display RSSI (receiver signal strength indication in real time. That is significant for us where the Rx sits within a metal box which is itself electronically noisy. That's awesome! ScaleArt has an artificial horizon as standard. Handy for th...

Re: New Transmitters

I agree with Adrian. First class models deserve first class radios. So, Brixl or ScaleArt it is, if you ask me. But I have also seen the light with open source. It is immensely interesting to see how it all goes! I know the Taranis is already a very capable system, indeed, totally configurable and s...

Re: Would Stiffer Center Springs Make Tanks Rock?

Mike, Thank you so much for taking the time to do this research and telling us all about it, so that we can learn from your experience! It was very interesting reading. I especially liked the part where you describe the new terrain characteristics. It was not wasted. You did it for us. My deepest bo...

Thanks for an exceptionally interesting and informative build log! I know how much time it takes to write something half decent, but you have gone far beyond that. Thank you so much! :D

I hereby dub you "knight of zimmerit". No one has done it more convincing!

Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

Ivano,
that is likely a very important piece in solving the riddle! :D
Let's see if I understand correctly: Are the measurements made from the edge of the lift hook at 225 deg? Any idea of why? What is the source of the measurements - actual vehicle, factory drawings, other?
