Re: Diamond T and Trailer

It depends on the size that you want. Here are some 8" diameter ones:

I know that 5" and 10" diameter ones can be fouhd too. Just type 10" pneumatic wheels into your ebay search.

I hope that this helps

Great work David. That's quite some transformation. My vote would be against you buying back the DD.

Re: Who's the next?

I would like a 1/6 DUKW too but I suppose the hull would need to be GRP, which would rule it out. A Morris Quad, with 25 pounder etc, would be much appreciated.

Nice to see this one again and to see it completed. The tractor was on display at the 2009 Armortek open day.

If you are using a Futaba 2.4 ghz you should be able to set the transmitter to more than one model using the model select function. For the 6EX see page 14 of the manual : http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/6ex-2_4ghz-manual.pdf

If so, you would only need to buy a second receiver.

I found the transmitter range improved dramatically for my Sherman when I switched to a 2.4 ghz system.

Please note the following safety bulletin from the British Model Flying Association:

Please bear in mind that if you take risks with the batteries that you use then you are also imposing those risks on others.

There are "key ring" Tilley lamps around. They are about 1/6 scale and work with a watch battery and a LED. They tend to come in lurid colours so you would need to re-paint and remove the ring. I have seen them on ebay and in camping shops for very little money. Here is one example: http://cgi.ebay....

I would love to see both an Armortek Centurion and any WWI tank. Would I buy them though ? Centurion definitely not (no interest in post-war), WWI tank .... perhaps. I imagine that there must be some demand for scale r/c versions of smaller military vehicles - jeep, universal carrier, Horch, kettenk...

I know that the poll has not yet finally concluded on the open day but it is perhaps a good time to suggest an option which will both provide Mark and Gill with a well deserved rest on Sunday 11 September yet still provide for those who would like a second day of model tanks. The South West Tank Clu...
