Re: THANK YOU!

I'd like to add my thanks for a great weekend to Gill, Mark and your 'aides' who all managed to maintain a friendly, happy and welcoming disposition throughout the weekend, and also special thanks for the generous donation for the prize draw.

Re: Tankmod - arriving and departing!

This is when one of the things that appeals some to 1/35 scale becomes apparent - starting to shoehorn everything in for transportation

Re: Midlands meetup

Hi Tim,

I could be interested as I'm not a million miles away! I run my tanks in my back garden but that's not suitable for a large gathering.

Re: Recoil assistance please

Hi William, I presume you are using the BEC to power the recoil servo. I have several tanks with the recoil and have connected them the same way without problem. The output from the BEC is connected with + (5v) to the servo Plus (disconnecting the original) and the - (0v) tee'd into the servo ground...

Re: First Met!

I first came across Armortek through their web site in around 2004 when they were in Daventry, not far from where I lived. However I procrastinated for a while and not being particularly keen on a Tiger 1 I got my first 1/6 tank from elsewhere in 2005. I was at the Stoneleigh Military Show with the ...

Re: No. 034

Chris, I can't really say how many hours as I've long since stopped keeping a check when building these models. I would probably guesstimate around 150 hours over a 3 month period. I know it took the best part of 3-4 weeks to do the rivetting as I think there are around 1800 all riveted in apart fro...

Re: The mass rivet is underway!!!

Don't know if I'll get a full check, just had a quick tot up on those sections out of interest. What's really needed is a 'Rivet Counter' - for those who remember Mark Lawson!!!!

A few of the bits riveted before getting some paint and being reassembled. Around 1143 rivets in this picture.

Re: centurion dead

Hi, The 'trip' I'm aware of (and encountered) is current sensing, it basically cuts the speed controller and resets by itself within a couple of seconds without the need to do anything. If it doesn't return to operation after waiting a bit then other than checking fuses and that you are getting powe...
